The $1,400 list price is hard to swallow however, you can find it for sale frequently enough to make it more appealing. The unit is beautiful, and the base station takes up very little space in a corner of the room.

The design of this robot addresses some of the issues we've experienced with other robotic mops and vacuum cleaners, such as brushes that get caught in hair and the vacuum brush not being able to reach the bare flooring underneath furniture. The sweeping performance on carpets and floors that are not covered is also impressive. The vacuum/mop has a high level debris pickup and the mop is able to quickly saturate bare flooring.

The mops also have an intelligent system to clean along the edges of furniture and around walls. The robot is able to avoid the bulkier obstacles like toys, food bowls, shoes, and backpacks with any difficulty. It is able to get tangled or entangled with smaller, more compact objects like shoelaces and USB cable, and pens.

This robot was used to vacuum and mop hardwood floors FLOR carpet tiles as well as pile rugs in a large open-plan home. It vacuumed and mops the 90 square meters in 170 minutes with FREO Mind enabled. This is a bit more than the average for Gen 4 robots.

The RX3's powerful four-stage system for cleaning offers excellent dust pickup on carpet and hard floors, while intuitive side brushes with a swing-out feature and two suction channels remove dust from corners. The 8.5 cm height allows it to fit under furniture that is low, and front cameras and infrared sensors help it navigate around obstacles and thresholds with ease.

In our test of how well it cleaned baking soda close to corners and on baseboards, the Scout RX3 was impressive. Its suction of 2,500 Pa was a little weaker than other robots, however, it moved swiftly and was extremely quiet. It didn't mop, and its removable cleaning pad was a challenge to attach. It also wasn't able to handle dried-on dirt.

Its app is a little on the basic side with no advanced features such as multiple cleaning modes and automated scheduling. It does work with Alexa, but its voice controls aren't particularly clear or responsive. And it's also a little difficult when it comes to navigating its way back to the charging station following running other robots are able to follow a previous route or follow a wall until they get to their home however the RX3 simply bumbles around until it finally gives up and then sends a message about failure to your phone.

We also experienced issues with the smart features of the device, namely its mapping feature as well as digital stay-out zones. It was effective in keeping our furniture legs and shoes away but it was easily hanging up on cables, socks, and rug. This is the reason we decided not to include it in our Best Buy list. However, with  click here  and a dazzling performance The Scout RX3 is worth considering in the event you're looking to find a smarter alternative to traditional uprights.
